Broker
The regulated firm that sits between you and the exchange: you send it money, it executes your order, and it holds your fund units in custody. In Europe it can be an app, a specialist firm, or your own bank's investment arm.

Read the thinkingThe broker guide The main brokers available to Europeans, compared on what actually decides it — the cost of your pattern, what happens if one dies, who does your tax paperwork.
